The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates was established in 1980, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi each depositing half of their revenues in the institution.
One of the oldest banking institutions in UAE, Central Bank of the UAE setup a full-time operative bank since 1980. The Central Bank of the UAE has powers to issue and manage the currency; to ensure the stability of the currency; to manage the UAE's credit policy; to develop and oversee the banking system in the UAE; to act as the Government's banker; to provide monetary and financial support to the Government.
This was back in 2020-21 when The Central Bank of UAE (CBUAE) has to host a hybrid conference ‘The Future of Finance’ in Oct 2021. The virtual part of the conference saw the who’s who of the banking industry come together.
The challenge was huge and the responsibility was significant and full of challenges and need commitment in terms of timely delivery and on top of this with quality as audiences from across the world going to witness the virtual setup first time. We created a virtual brand metaverse that empowered CBUAE to witness one of the finest set up of their banking eco-system. Through interactional experiences CBUAE made a outstanding exposure of the actual banking system. The virtual space allowed The Central Bank of UAE give their customers an all- encompassing brand experience that no single digital medium could achieve in entirety.
The audience was stunned by the virtual setup which showcased the architectural wonders of the UAE – from the Burj Khalifa, to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the Al Wasl Dome at the Expo to the CBUAE headquarters.
